The Eureka Springs Gallery Association joins in supporting the Good Shepherd Humane Society during its Second Saturday Stroll. The member galleries will be collecting food, toys and, of course, dollars for the benefit of our local animal shelter. We appreciate the wonderful job this society is doing in our town and know you support their constant, loving efforts. This event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on August 14th. The art photography of Edward Robison III will be featured during the 2nd Saturday Gallery Stroll on July 10, 2010. Edward has new work in his Spirituality in Nature series. Robison’s photography was chosen for the May Festival of the Arts poster in Eureka Springs for 2010.

Join us on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. and again from 6 to 9 p.m. to meet Edward and view his new work.

This month’s Second Saturday event will benefit the Flint Street Food Bank. The stroll takes place from 6 to 9 o’clock and 10% of the member galleries’ sales during the gallery stroll will be donated to the Flint Street Food Bank. In addition, canned goods will be accepted at all of our galleries for donation to the food bank. Please join us Saturday, July 10 for a special evening to benefit the Flint Street Food Bank.

As usual, there will be featured artists and refreshments for this event.

At the Jewel Box, Courtney Trimble is showing new originals in prisma colors, including a spiral landscape of Eureka Springs. Her spiral style is a fanciful interpretation of her subject in contrast to her very realistic paintings of wildlife and botanicals. We will have these, along with prints and cards.

During the 2nd Saturday Gallery Stroll in July we will partner with the Flint Street Food Bank in order to help them provide food for the needs of others. More details to follow soon!

Saturday, May 1 – In honor of Spring, Lorna & Craig Hirsh are visiting the gallery with a new collection of musical art they have created in their clay studio. Their tuned ceramic bird whistles and wind chimes will delight you. 1-4 & 6-9 PM

Saturday, May 8 – Valerie Hubbard Damon, one of Eureka Springs’ artistic treasures will be visiting the gallery to introduce her newest work. An author of children’s books and a multi-talented artist, Valerie’s imagination creates fantasy in paintings, pottery and fiber. She will be signing her prints and art cards; have her personalize one for you. 1-4 & 6-9 PM
