The Eureka Springs Gallery Association joins in celebration of Fleur Delicious with a Stroll themed to the French joie de vivre. Listed below are the seven galleries and their entry in this people’s choice competition. The holidays are showcased throughout the month of December by the entire city of Eureka Springs, and during this time our galleries are shining even more than we do the rest of the year — if that’s possible!

December brings you the final gallery stroll of 2010. Throughout the year, we have featured world-class artists and had parties to remember. We have had giveaways through our punch-card promotion in August and numerous other benefits to help promote wonderful non-profit causes in Eureka Springs.

Now we offer you the most unique and perfect gifts for your holiday giving. Visit our member galleries for a very special shopping experience. If you’ve been here before, you know the peace and joy we have to offer during this special season. The Art of Eureka must be experienced!

A touch of fall is in the air and it’s a perfect time of year to visit. While you’re here, be sure to catch our 2nd Saturday Gallery Stroll on September 11th. Our nine associate galleries will have special events and shows.

Iris at the Basin Park will feature local artist, D.G. Womack. A painter who utilizes a variety of techniques to express herself on canvas, D.G. will be unveiling her newest ‘three-dimensional Impressionism’ creation. Her painting using this technique and entitled ‘Sacred Grove’, won the People’s Choice Award at the May Eureka Springs Invitational Art Show. D.G. will be in the gallery from 1-4 PM and 6-9 PM to greet customers and explain her work.

At Eureka Thyme, our featured items will be art gourds created by Joyce Campbell and Theresa Johnson. Gourds dating back to prehistoric times were used for storage, musical instruments, utensils, masks, currency and much more. Now gourds are often purely an art form. Joyce and Theresa use gourds grown and finished in the Ozarks. Each piece is unique. Join us to meet them and hear about how they create these beautiful works of art. 1-4 p.m. and again from 6 to 9 p.m.

Remember this is the last day of our punch card promotion! Visit all the participating galleries, have your card punched, and be in a drawing for a 500-dollar gift certificate.
