2009 Arkansas Artist Engagement Calendar

Several local artists represented here at Eureka Fine Art Company have had their works selected for inclusion in the 2009 Arkansas Artist Engagement Calendar published by the Governor’s Mansion Association. More than 320 artists from across the state entered work that was judged by out-of-state jurors.

Included in the 2009 calendar are works by Eureka Springs artists Zeek Taylor, Diana Harvey (painting above), Kathryn Semolic (painting below), and Hunstville, AR, artist Lisa Bauer.

The engagement calendar will be unveiled on September 10 by First Lady Ginger Beebe at a reception for the artists and sponsors at the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock.

Winner of Paint the Parks national show

Jack Hetterich, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, has two paintings in the top 100 of the Paint the Parks national show. Three nationally recognized jurors deliberated for two days through hundred of entries individually scoring them and chose “Lewis River” and the “Painted Desert”. The first showing of the one year United States tour is at the ARCH in St. Louis, Mo which is part of the National Park Service.
